Petits Pieds walks for missing children.

On 25 May, to commemorate the International Day of Missing Children, our CPE joined 50 daycare centers and CPE from across Quebec for the march in support of the Enfants-Retour network. Some parents joined us for the occasion.

In addition to allowing children to get fresh air, develop their overall motor skills and enjoy the beautiful landscape surrounding the CPE, this activity raised funds for the organization Enfants-Retour to support all families in order to give them the chance to see their children grow up. The event was also intended to support all families of missing children to remind them that they would never be forgotten.
In all, close to 4000 children in Quebec have walked to support the organization Enfants-Retour and raise awareness about the strength of the community when it comes to unite to bring a missing child home.
Although this activity is first and foremost an activity geared toward the community, it also allowed us to remind children of security measures in the presence of strangers.

That same day, the Réseau Enfants-Retour launched a tool called SIGN4L that allows parents to electronically record and store information about their children, to be used in an emergency, directly from their smartphone. The app also includes safety tips for kids.
